Third Eragon Announced!

Book three of Christopher Paolini's #1 Bestselling Inheritance Series is to be released September 23, 2008! As of yet the books is untitled. Paolini has also announced that the three books series will now be extended to four. Book Four is not yet scheduled for publication.

Author for Twelfth Wheel of Time Book Announced!

Since the unfortunate death of Robert Jordan, author of the Wheel of Time series, the question upon every fan's mind has been: "Who is going to finish the last book?"

We are happy to announce that this question has been officially answered! Author Brandon Sanderson has accepted the offer to complete 'A Memory of Light'! Sanderson has published three fantasy novels: Elantris, Mistborn and The Well of Ascension, as well as a YA novel, Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians.

Sanderson said, "I'm both extremely excited and daunted by this opportunity. There is only one man who could have done this book the way it deserved to be written, and we lost him in September. However, I promise to do my very best to remain true to Mr. Jordan's vision and produce the book we have all been waiting to read."

A Memory of Light is scheduled for publication in fall 2009.

In a countryside town bordering on a magical land, a young man makes a promise to his beloved that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the magical realm.

The film stars Charlie Cox, Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Twilight on the Big Screen!

For the fans of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series Summit Entertainment has announced that Twilight will be hitting the big screen! The film begins production Febuary 2008 and will be staring Kristen Stewart (Panic Room and Into the Wild) as Bella Swan. Robert Pattinson has also been announced to play the part of Edward. For those of you trying to place the name, Pattinson has portrayed Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Twilight’s recent sequel Eclipse most recently debuted at #1 on the USA Today bestseller list unseating the newest Harry Potter.

Erik Feig, Summit Entertainment’s President of Production stated, “We at Summit are truly excited about the franchise potential of this remarkable Romeo and Juliet story. Of course, you are only as good as your Juliet and Kristen Stewart has that magical combination of being a great actress, deeply appealing, and perfect for the part.”

In other news, the offical release date for Stephenie Meyer's lastest installment to her Twilight series, 'Breaking Dawn,' has been set to August 02, 2008. To cap off her year, Twilight will be released to big screens nation wide December 12, 2008. On May 06, 2008, her highly anticipated adult novel, Host, will be released. Without a doubt, 2008 will be a busy year for Stephenie!

Coming to theaters near you ... The Secret Life of Bees! A film adaptation of one of Sue Monk Kid's novels.

Lily Owens is a young girl who lives on a peach farm that her abusive father owns. Rosaleen black woman hired by Lily's father to be a stand in mother for Lily (Her real mother died in a horrendous accident that happened when she was a toddler). but when Rosaleen insults some of the biggest racists in their town, Lily is forced to take Rosaleen and run away to a town Lily believer her mother once lived. They go to live with three estranged sisters on a honey farm, and Lily soon learns what it is like to have a real family.

The movie features an all-star cast including: Dakota Fanning as Lily, Queen Latifah as August, and Alicia Keys as June ... Just to name a few of the names! The movie is schedule for release on October 17, 2008.

Exciting news for followers of the "Sword of Truth" series by Terry Goodkind! Sam Raimi, the brilliant mind behind the Xena and Hercules t.v. series and more recently, the Spider-man movies, is at it once again! Coming this fall, the "Sword of Truth" will be airing on television!

"In the aftermath of the brutal murder of his father, a mysterious woman, Kahlan Amnell, appears in Richard Cypher's forest sanctuary seeking help...and more. iskape Fall Treats

Fall has snuck up upon us once again here in Michigan. The trees are putting on their beautiful colors and the air is picking up that chill that warns us that winter is not all that far away. Sweaters are coming out of storage and soon the kids will be running through the gathered leaf piles faster than we can bag them up. It is also the perfect time, in my opinion, to curl up with a warm drink in hand, your favorite fall treat, and a good book!

Literature fall treats include one of the most anticipated books of the season: new to iskape, Christopher Paolini’s next installment to his Inheritance Cycle: Brisingr. I know that many of the fans of Twilight are anticipating the release of 'Midnight Sun', Edward's Version of Twilight. For those who have not yet heard, I am afraid that I am about to break some bad news to you.

This summer, someone that Stephenie Meyer had trusted to read a partly written manuscript leaked it online for the public to read. Because of this, Meyer has put the project on to focus on family and other projects.

She also posted the story in a rough format as far as she had written it before the leak if you wish to catch a peek. She felt that it was only fair that everyone get the chance to read it and so that her fans do not have to make a sacrifice to stay honest.

All of our fingers are crossed here in hopes that she'll pick up the project again. When/if that happens, we'll be sure to let our renters know!
